About

Welcome!

I’m Adam Desautels, an emerging author of Contemporary Fiction and Young Adult Fiction. I write relationship-focused stories that explore themes of self-discovery, adventure, and vengeance within comedic and romance formats.

Sabbatical:

The travelogue structure of Every Step She Takes by Alison Cochrun meets the absurd humor of The Wedding People by Alison Espach in this amusing look at personal growth and redemption gained through perspective provided by world travel.

Other, older comps include: People We meet on Vacation - Emily Henry - Vivid Travel Settings and transformational Arc.

One Day - David Nicholls - Antihero transformation arc and witty narration.

The Paradise Problem - Christina Lauren - Corporate takedown themes.

The Guncle - Steven Rowley - Memorable, clever narrative voice.

Readers who loved watching Leap Year will love Sabbatical.

Perfectly Imperfect:

The trauma-bonded friendship seen in Hello Girls by Brittany Cavallaro and Emily Henry meets the vengeance-fueled hijinks of The Last Boyfriends Rules for Revenge by Matthew Hubbard. Show comps include Sex Education and Overcompensating.
